Most law clerks have been exposed to (and may actively use) GenAI at school, work, and home. Judges should speak with their law clerks about the use of GenAI in chambers, even if they choose to prohibit its use. This video offers guidance about how to structure this conversation, set expectations, and communicate clear chambers policy on the use of GenAI, whether for legal research, drafting, or any other task.
